FAQ & Insurance

Do you take my insurance?
Mekosha Physical Therapy accepts most insurance plans. We are in-network with Medicare and Medicaid(only Ameri-Group Plan). With commercial insurance plans ( for instance, Horizon BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare,Emblem) we have chosen to participate as an out-of-network provider.

Our approach is not constrained by the regulations and restrictions set by insurance providers, enabling us to offer extended individual sessions and deliver comprehensive treatment without constraints.
Do I need a referral to start PT and what is direct access?
New Jersey, direct access allows individuals to directly contact and schedule appointments with their Doctor of Physical Therapy without needing a referral from a physician.
What do I need to complete prior to my appointment?
Prior to your appointment, we will assess your insurance benefits and discuss them with you. It is important to note that while we can assist in clarifying your coverage, each patient is accountable for understanding the specifics of their insurance policy. Intake forms sent via email will need to be filled out to help your therapist understand your conditions and level of function during your evaluation
